Franchise Tags And ACE Tags:
Super Franchise Tag: 100 WarBucks
The franchise tag can only be used once every three years. If you place the franchise tag on a player he is exempt from going to auction and can be assigned any length contract. The player receiving the franchise tag must have an expired contract. If the franchise tag is used you loose the right to use the 1st Base Franchise tag. Can only be used once every 3 seasons EXAMPLE: If team A uses it's Super Franchise tag on Todd Gurley in 2015 team A will not have another Super Franchise tag until 2018
1ST BASE FRANCHISE TAG: 25 Smashbucks
A player designated with a 1st Base Franchise tag will enter the auction. If that player is introduced and won by another GM, then the winning GM must compensate a 1st round pick for the current or following season to the original owner. Winning bidder will decide which pick to give as compensation to original owner. It must be current or following season 1st or 2nd round pick (based on which tag used). The original owner can match any bid placed. Bidding begins at 26 Smashbucks Can be used every year a Super franchise is not used.
A GM must have a current season or following season 1st round pick to participate in the 1st BASE Auction.
2ND BASE FRANCHISE TAG: 20 Smashbucks
A player designated with a 2nd Base Franchise tag will enter the auction. If that player is introduced and won by another GM, then the winning GM must compensate a 2nd round pick for the current or following season (whichever comes first) to the original owner. The original owner can match any bid placed. Bidding begins at 21 Smashbucks. Can be used every season
A GM must have a current season or following season 2nd round pick to participate in the 2nd BASE Auction.
ACE: 10 Smashbucks Can be used every year
Each franchise has one ACE (Annual Contract Extension). This ACE is exclusive to each franchise and cannot be traded and does not carry over year to year if not used. You can ACE any player on your team expiring contract or not. you can ACE that player for 10 Smashbucks and that player gets another year on your franchise. If you re-ACE the same player the following year, it doubles in price each season for that same player: 1st year 10, 2nd year 20, 3rd year 40 etc.
